Happy New Year! This is a time of hopeful goal-setting for many. Our goal is to continue to serve students, get more tutors, and expand our offerings at One For Everyone in 2022.
A Huge Thank You to YOU! Since early September of 2021, OFE has provided 134 hours of tutoring offered approximately 16 hours per week Monday through Friday for 30 students. A monumental thank you to the tutors: Allie, Angie, Anita, Asa, Chloe, Jill, Larissa, John, Nancy, and Harley for volunteering to tutor and for Allisondra, Jill, Christy, Dana, Pippa who have helped behind the scenes.
We would also like to thank the dozens of supportive family members and especially the Valparaiso Public library staff for being supportive and accommodating with the study rooms.
Super Sight Word and Mathapalooza: This week on Thursday, January 6, we will have a sight word and basic math game day in Room A from 3:30-5 p.m. All are welcome. Bring your friends! There will be games, practice mats, Wikki Stix, Legos, and play dough to make learning so much fun. Please contact Ruth at 219-299-3489 if you would like to RSVP.
Tutoring is Free but any donations are appreciated. If you would like to directly support the acquisition of educational materials for OFE, we use many resources from Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) and here is a link to gift cards. Your donation is tax deductible. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Gift-Card or you can buy from the wish list at https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/ClassFund/Ruth-Johnston-One-For-27307?ownCampaign=&utm_campaign=ClassFundShare. We also have Amazon Smile to support OFE – these are educational games and activities that will help our students better understand the material. https://smile.amazon.com/ch/47-4389811. Remember that money cannot be passed at the library but you can donate through the website here or mail a check to Ruth at 52 Worchester Dr. Valpo 46383. Thank you so much for your generosity!
Do you have schedule changes? Please contact Ruth for the updates.
Please note: There will be no regular tutoring this week, but it will resume on January 10th.
